Senior Partner, Co-Head of Knowledge & Learning

Mr. Alphonse is a Senior Partner for The Vistria Group and co-leads the Knowledge & Learning Practice. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of FullBloom and MSI Information Services and is a former Board member of Penn Foster. He also serves as a board member to P33, Window to the World Communications, Inc. ((WTTW) Chicago’s PBS Affiliate), and College Possible Chicago. Previously, he served as commissioner (Mayoral appointee) with the Chicago’s Community Development Commission and as a trustee and member of the Executive Committee for the Roxbury Latin School in Boston.

Prior to joining Vistria, Mr. Alphonse was a Principal at Sterling Partners, where he focused primarily on investments in education companies. He previously served as a director for Educate, Inc., Educate Online and Infilaw Holding, LLC. Prior to Sterling Partners, Mr. Alphonse worked at Knowledge First, Thomas Wiesel Partners and investment firms McCown De Leeuw & Co., and Musa Capital Advisors Ltd. (Kingdom Holdings). He started his career as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley & Co.
