Prior to joining Vistria, Jon spent nearly two decades in senior management, policy and communications roles in the White House (2009-2014), U.S. Congress (1999-2009), successful electoral campaigns (1997-2008) and non-profit organizations (1997-1999). Jon came to Vistria directly from his most recent post in the White House, where he served on the senior staff as Special Assistant to the President and, later, Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Jon managed the team of experts charged with ensuring the success of the President’s policy priorities in the U.S. House of Representatives. In this capacity, Jon focused heavily on the Administration’s financial services and healthcare policy objectives. During his tenure in the White House, Jon advised the President and other national leaders on a range of policy and strategic matters. He has also been a featured lecturer at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Michigan State University, Pennsylvania University and the Brookings Institution. Jon serves on the Board of Directors of the Moran Center for Youth Advocacy in Evanston, Illinois.
Jon received his B.A. from Michigan State University and was selected for, and completed, the President’s Leadership Workshop and the Library of Congress’ Graduate Institute.
