Chicago, IL, January 18, 2023 — The Vistria Group is thrilled to announce two of its portfolio companies, Academic Partnerships and Edmentum, have been recognized by an education sector leader as “Top Growth Companies in Digital Learning & Workforce Skills.”
GSV Ventures, a multi-stage venture capital firm focused on the global digital learning and workforce skills sector, recently released its 2023 GSV 150 list. The list identifies the top 150 private companies driving growth, innovation and impact in the industry. GSV examined 4,000 venture capital and private equity-backed private companies working to revolutionize education technology. Revenue growth and scale, user reach, geographic diversification and margins profile were included in the evaluation criteria.
“The GSV 150 list represents the most impactful and creative players who are committed to the goal of ensuring all learners can equitably access quality education solutions,” said Phil Alphonse, Senior Partner & Co-Head of Knowledge & Learning Solutions at The Vistria Group. “We’re extremely proud that Academic Partnerships and Edmentum were recognized among this elite group.”
“This recognition exemplifies the commitment Academic Partnerships and Edmentum have demonstrated among their peers in setting industry standards for quality education access,” said Adnan Nisar, Partner & Co-Head of Knowledge & Learning Solutions at The Vistria Group.
GSV estimates that the 150 companies reach roughly 3 billion people, nearly half the global population, and generate approximately $25 billion in revenue.
“As we enter into what we call a ‘Brave New World,’ it is clear that you can’t use an old map for a new world. This impressive group of companies continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of learners and businesses at scale,” said Alexandra Argo, investor at GSV Ventures.
